As was reported late last night on the official HIMYM Twitter and Facebook pages, the show has been picked up for another season. This is great news for us, them, and the world. Remember the old days when the show was on the bubble?

I didn’t realize until after the episode that tonight marked Neil Patrick Harris’s directing debut. Well done sir! That explains why Barney was barely in the episode. For a show who has had only one director, more or less, tonight didn’t feel like a huge departure. If anything, it felt more like a return to form than some other recent episodes including last week.
That feeling, I think, was more due to the writing. The biggest impact NPH seemed to have was a general feeling of fun that ran throughout the cast. It seemed like somebody was playing his get psyched mix before each take. I’m going to follow the same format as last week since it seemed to be popular.

This is a placeholder until I get my review posted. My internet is wonky lately so I’ll do my best to post tonight but I promise nothing.

What’s this episode all about anyway? I didn’t even remember the name until I just double checked (good thing, I thought it was “Merkin”).

During the first two seasons I might not have said I thought there’d ever be an episode 100. I’m glad there is. Congrats to Bays, Thomas, the cast, and the crew. You’ve done a good thing! That being said, how was this 100th episode anyway?
