Hrmmmm

Now, after reading this damned review, I’m conflicted about my views concerning this episode.

I simply must watch it again.

More nuanced than I remember it being. Especially with the David Caruso business. Totally missed that.

I don’t really know how much I really loved it though. Even after reading this, I still feel like it’s been my least favorite so far this season. I’m not intensely sure why though…..something just felt off.

That’s all I’ve got right now. Normally I’d be a bastion of input concerning the show, but I don’t have much regarding this one.

Do you all think that we’ll be seeing a lot more of the Dowisetrepla apartment? A new set for the show? I hope so, it could be a good shift.

So, Ted’s living alone now, where do you think that’ll go? A new roommate? Or will the apartment become a real bachelor pad? It is right upstairs from the bar.

Great review I agree with everything. As far as refernces go. Any good show has them, Seinfield was very self-referencing. It makes jokes funnier, because (and this may just be my friends and I) going back to an old joke is what great friends do.

I love the David Caruso reference, and the video you linked. Man that guy overacts. This season gets better and cannot wait to see all the cool times in Dowistrepla.

I really liked it, and I think you said it all with the review.
I just have to stress how much I loved the guest (Janice!!), I’m a big Friends fan, and that was awesome.

Sometimes I feel they are being a bit too much self referential as well, but the last few episodes were very creative, and added a lot to the characters (Ted Mosby: Detective; Marshall and Lily’s dreams about their family; World of Warcraft; the Crazy/Hot Scale. to name a few favorites)

BTW, there were some really clever lines this week; Some scenes became a continuous laugh, pure awesomeness.

There’s a significant lack of resolution to this episode – but maybe that’s what makes it more realistic. No idea what’s going to come of this ‘Dowisetrepla’ apartment.
