Imagine that after getting viciously drunk on Red Dragon shots, having his jacket set on fire, learning the true definition of “karaoke” and waking up next to a sullied and unconscious Danica McKellar in The Pineapple Incident Ted didn’t bungle the whole thing up, Trudy didn’t take off out the fire escape, and that we, and Ted, actually saw her again. What would have happened? We’ll find out this season. Could be a spoiler so the actual news is after the jump.

That question will be answered is season 3 when McKellar returns as a guest star in episode 4. Rumor has it that she feels guilty about her exit-a-la-fire-escape after their first tryst and after running into Ted at a bar, decides to pursue him anew. Rumor also has it that there is a possibility for a little girl-girl sandwich with our boy Ted as the meat — an old sorority sister of Trudy’s will be competing for Ted’s affections as well.

Sounds good to me. Threesomes seem a little risque for network TV—more HBO fair—but HIMYM has pushed the sexual content envelope before so I wouldn’t doubt them to do it again.

As far as McKellar returning, all I can say is I Told You So. Back during S1 I predicted that Trudy would return on the TV.com forum. I’m very glad I was right as Danika is super hot and sounds like a really cool, down to earth person in real life.

Worth noting: I have never seen a single episode of The Wonder Years so my experience with Ms. McKellar is limited to HIMYM.
