The How I Met Your Mother Blog

As networks are wont to do CBS has shuffled the episode order and the episode “Third Wheel”, which used to be episode five, is now episode three and will air tonight. Here’s the summary:

Ted’s new attitude attracts women in the present and one from his past. The rest of the gang pulls together to help him make the most of the situation.

Now, we all know that Danica McKellar is the “one from the past”. What a nice surprise that this episode has been moved up. I loved Trudy and “The Pineapple Incident” in general (hence the aforementioned fruit’s prominent status in this site’s logo). I can’t wait to see her again. Plus, my boy Ted’s going to hook up a threesome (maybe) which is sweet. Looks like Busy Phillips will be the second slice of bread in the Ted sandwich.

Will Barney be jealous? Will Ted screw it up? Will Trudy make a second fire escape getaway? Will we get to hear more Cheap Trick? Will he go into details the next day for Marshall and Lily’s bemusement? (He is, after all, telling his kids the story.) I don’t know, and I can’t wait to find out.
