Dr. Horrible Act I Is Live

The first episode of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-along Blog is now up. Watch it for free on the Dr. Horrible site or get a season pass for all three episodes from iTunes for $3.99 (the shows will only be available for free online for a short time.)

I watched it and I love it. Classic Whedon. The premise is wonderful and the cast does a great job. Impressive production value too. This is the future of internet tv shows. In ten years we’ll look back on this as a milestone.

What’d you guys think? Like the songs? Is Felicia Day stalker-worthy?

Update: Act II is available now.

i did love it despite, um, putting it on mute sometimes (i really really really really hate musicals). felicia day stalker-worthy? i think i can’t really judge from this episode– she was barely in it and she really didn’t pull any attention away from Neil Patrick Harris and Nathon Fillon– you have to have serious charisma in order to do that!

I’ve just seen Act I. I loved it so much. It was totally the way I expected it to be, a little weird and crazy. The songs were great. The first one reminded me of the Buffy musical. Neil Patrick Harris was awesome! I can’t wait to see Act II and III…

    I loved it too!

    NPH kicks butt.

And I kinda squee’d when “Moist” was the guy who plays Wollowitz on the “Big Bang Theory.”

So anyone else get HIMYM flashbacks when the character Moist showed up? I half hoped that Dr Horrible would suddenly don a robot suit and confess his love to a toaster.

Do you guys also think there’s a little Barney inside of Dr. Horrible or is it just me?

I loved it! I liked hearing Neil sing; he is great as this character - horrible and endearing at the same time. Can’t wait for Act III.

This makes me wonder if it is HIMYM that I love or just NPH. I think HIMYM might not be nearly as good without him.

    i loveee it

alot of people are saying that it’s copying this Dr. Steel character, whcich i don’t think so, cuz he’s not a musical, nor does he have a story line to his material…

    but yea, care to investigate?

and btw, i ripped the tracks for easy listenting, but i promise i will buy the cd, and dvd and t shirt and poster… and anything else! =)

    the hammer is my penis….

I have decided that I am from now on exiting every conversation with an awkward “Huh, look at my wrist, I gotta go”

I just looked at Dr. Steel’s site and the only thing I see linking him and Dr. Horrible are that A) they both call themselves doctors and B) they both want world domination.

Frankly, I don’t see much else they have in common so I don’t see it as a copycat

Dr. Horrible has a Ph. D in Horribleness and they really seemed to develop something in him that sets him apart from other villains.

ZOMG!!!(i have no idea wat that means)

i just finished seeing all of the parts and its so sad and messed up wat happens! Good thing is, i didnt cry =D
but anywho…NPH is wat makes me appreciate good acting!
No offense to him but he can totally pass as being straight when he actually gay (no offense).
Huh, look at my wrist, I gotta go!

I loved Dr Horrible… I’d be interested to hear what everyone’s favorite song was. Mine was probably either the song that ended Act 2 or Slipping, the second to last song.
