Can I just reiterate how much I love you guys that post on this blog (of course that includes you JD!)

It's interesting to hear other people's opinions on Judd's films. I absolutely loved Knocked Up so much that I saw it in the theatre 4 times within it's first 2 weeks of opening. This coming from a person who doesn't go to the theatre more than maybe a dozen times in a year (if even THAT much)!

Virgin is a total gem and I think I am one of the few people I know that loved Superbad as much as the others. I've heard many people say they weren't that into it.

I think the only Apatow film I didn't find that great was Walk Hard. I wouldn't even bother seeing Drillbit Taylor. It looks horrible. I think a lot of people forget about Anchorman. That was a hilarious movie as well, but Virgin definitely kicked it up a few notches!

Needless to say - Jason Segel is so amazing at what he does (watch him play Sam in Slackers or Eric in Undeclared and you'll know what i'm talking about) and I plan on equipping myself with some adult diapers on the 18 because I KNOW i'll pee my pants in the theatre!

I generally trust Ebert and Roeper (and some of the guys who've replaced Ebert in his time of illness). Even when I disagree, I see their points.

This week, Phillips and Roeper absolutley loved this film. They went on and on praising it. And given that Phillips is usually reserved in praising most movies, I'm frankly surprised. They love Segel's script, and Segel's acting too. Roeper has already said it fits in his best 50 comedies ever. They say the supporting cast is amazing too (Paul Rudd is fantastic even when others around him fail) including Kunis.

I'm trying to avoid clips from the movie (I feel it ruins the overall experience, when you've already decided to watch it). But it's hard not getting overly excited. Damn, April 18th isn't coming fast enough.

To be honest, Superbad had a a couple of funny things in it, but didn't innovate anythign I didn't see before in the overall movie. I liked Knocked Up, and even though it's merely liked, it's still above and beyond better than the crap Hollywood keeps churning out.

But 40-Year-Old Virgin is a gem. Probably (I seriously can't think of anything else), the funniest comedy movie for me I've ever seen. Subjective, true, but I was laughing out loud so, so, so many times (I don't laugh out loud in most movies, and even in the good ones, I crack a smile much more than laugh).

Yeah seriously....bidding ended on the premier passes on April 6th?!?! I saw the dress was up for sale, but saw nothing about the passes until this post :( There are always premier events held in Hollywood and New York....why don't they do big movie premiers in Toronto unless one of the stars is Canadian? I don't get it and I don't think it's fair.

I've been waiting for this since I heard rumblings about it about a year ago. Mr. Segel has my heart. I saved some free movies passes I had for the opening of this film, so i'll definitely be there!

Now if only I could meet the man. (p.s. Don't get me wrong, i'm not some crazy stalker fan. Just have wanted to meet him for years.)

After 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up, I'm watching anything with the words 'From' and 'Judd Apatow'.

The fact that Segel is in it makes it even more appealing.

I will have to wait a few months to see that movie. I'm french and it opens in June here.
Well, I will already have comments from you guys to decide myself if I'll see it or not.
The title has been translated in "Sans Sarah, rien ne va" (Without Sarah, nothing goes well). I prefer the original title though (they even began to translate "How I Met Your Mother" for the first diffusion in France :O

FSM pre-screenings have been taking NYC by storm lately. I saw the movie two weeks ago and it was BRILLIANT. Mind you, before I was obsessed with HIMYM - I was obsessed with a little show called Freaks & Geeks - produced by Judd Apatow and staring a young & adorable Jason Segel. I'm a massive Apatow fan and was really glad to see him working closely with Segel again (his role in Knocked Up was great but quite small).

It's hysterical - dirty, sharp, witty, adorable and absolutely hilarious. An incredible cast is featured aside from Segel - the leading ladies, Bell and Kunis are both great in their roles but the minor supporting cast are really outstanding - Jonah Hill, Paul Rudd and Jack McBrayer score some amazing laughs in the movie. Russell Brand is hilarious as well. If you've seen an Apatow production (40-Year-Old-Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad, etc.) - you know what to expect. If you haven't - be warned, there is a lot of crude sexual humor and language. I personally love it, but not everyone will. I think most open-minded HIMYM fans will enjoy the movie, though.

The clips I've seen so far are hilarious.

I hope that this movie is a success at the box office.

"From now until April 6th, you can log onto eBay..."

Hmmm...now where did I put my time machine?

Seriously, though, I'll definitely be there opening night. Everything about it is perfect...funny guys, two hot girls (who also happen to have great comic timing), and the guys who brought me 40-year-old-virgin. Can't wait!

PS - Have I mentioned how much I love that it says "wait for it..." when I post a comment? Legendary.
