Goodbye 2008
By JD
I hope you all had a lovely holiday. What’d you do? Where’d you spend it and with whom? I want stories! Best gifts, worst gifts, pictures, let me know in the comments.
I came back to my ancestral home in Massachusetts to spend time with family. Since this house apparently gives me narcolepsy I spent a good amount of time sleeping (maybe the Basil Hayden had something to do with that too.)
I re-watched Little Minnesota on the train up here (and finally posted my recap, though I broke format.) That’s all the HIMYM I’ve watched as I’m getting my family caught up on Chuck, a show I’m going to have to write about once I get the other blog launched which will be soon after the new year.
Overall 2008 was a mit of a mixed bag. The site has flourished wonderfully, in fact the presence of HIMYM in my life has been nothing but positive. There’ve been ups and downs though, and I’m hoping 2009 is a little more consistently legendary.
As we head into the new year, what are you guys looking forward to? Any big things on the horizon? New jobs, new homes, new cities? Let me know.

Hey JD,
I had to work on Christmas eve, but I spent Christmas with my family here in suburban Chicago. My mom got me a weird sweater and I got my mom a scarf and she didn't like the color…lol we're bad at this. Yesterday night I went to the Blackhawks game with my dad and brothers (Sean and Mike). Hawks won 5-1 for their eighth win in a row. Pretty sweet. I'm looking forward to New Year's Eve. My friend Matt always throws a good party.
Here's to 2009 being a big year for HIMYM!
Later,
Kevin

Heh, I'll tell you about my presents
. I got 3 posters for TV shows – two from "Friends" (FRIENDS FOREVER!) and one from HIMYM
. I was so suprised, I thought that my parents don't know which series I watch
.
Happy New Year, JD

I finally got seasons 1 and 2 on dvd so I can let my friends know how awesome the series is. I also got the Bro Code book, and can't wait to read through all the HIMYM-isms (and I am making that a word). Can't wait til the next new episode!

I was so excited this Christmas because i got the Bro Code! I read through the entire thing on Christmas day and i've already looked at it a floppity-gilion
more times. I've also been re-watching all the past seasons of HIMYM. 2009 is gonna be legendary!

My parents probably bought it on amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/How-Met-Your-Mother-Poster/…
Honestly this poster isn't awesome, I mean it's not bad but could be better. But important thing is that this is a poster from one of my favourites sitcoms
.

Does it look less like Robin is sticking her ass in Ted's face in person than in that jpeg?

This might be of interest to some. I turned Barney's Christmas carols to a ringtone

My friends have been talking up HIMYM, and my awesome friend Heather got me season 1 for Christmas, and gave it to me on about the 15th. After watching that in about 3 days, I bought season 2, similarly watched it in a very short time period, and asked for season 3 from my parents, which I watched before the 27th was over. So within a period of about 2 weeks, I completely immersed myself in the show, and am now caught up completely. So that's pretty awesome.
