How I Met Your Mother: Return Date Announced
Mark your calendars: How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, and The Big-Bang Theory will all return on March 17, 2008. This will make for one great St. Patrick’s day.
Is there a chance the writers will work the holiday into the show? St. Patrick’s Day at McLaren’s has to be—to borrow phrasing from commenter Eric J—legen “why does the supermarket put the eggs and orange juice in the same section as the” dary.
As soon as I find out anything about the episode, I’ll post it up here.

Shouldn’t there be some sort of parade on this day? Does anyone know any parade planners?! This is the best Valentines Day in the history of person-kind. If only Kate Beckinsale were realize upon this day that she is meant to be with me.

First show I thought of when I heard about the writer’s strike ending was this one. I feared that it would not be in time for this spring, and episodes would return in fall. Really pleased that it’s starting again.
I’m guessing it’s going legen-… well, you know how it goes.

Bummer!
CBS just renewed The Big Bang Theory and The And a Half Men. So it leaves AGAIN the last-year fight between HIMYM and Old Christine, wich btw, is getting good ratings [of course, it's after Two And A Half Men!]. And HIMYM is not doing very good this year if you compare it to the other mondays sitcoms.
I don’t wanna panic buut, at least i hope we get a 13episodes season 4, or at least a finale! CBS can’t care less about our show.

I think Bays and thomas will work in St Patty’s day. They’ve done lots of other holidays and the cast already drinks a lot so it won’t be too much of a stretch.
8:30 will be better than 8, but the 9:30 would do wonders.

I’m hearing the show will return with a St. Patrick’s Day episode, in which Ted makes out with a married chick and gets popped in the face by a drunk dude. Good times are ahead for him and Barney, no doubt!
Can’t freaking wait!
