Music Page Updated
I’ve been lazy about maintaining the music page. There was no info for season 3 at all. Until now. I headed over to the IMDB message board for How I Met Your Mother and sure enough super-fan Mike Jonas (who I’d love to get in contact with. Anyone know him?) had a list of the music so far in season 3. If there’s a song you’ve been dying to identify, go check out the music page and see if it’s there.
There are a few unidentified songs for these recent episodes still. If you know a song that’s missing from my list, please leave a comment and I’ll get the page updated.
Enjoy. Let’s hope we’ll get more episodes soon so I can keep updating this page.

Wait for it…

what about those songs that were swapped on the dvd? like Iggy Pop’s song from Stuff in season 2, or Death Cab’s song in season 1

John, it really pisses me off that so many great songs were changed on the DVD. I know all about licensing and why they have to do it, but it still sucks.
I don’t have all the replaced song listings for a few reasons. One, they’re often covers or unknown bands that are found on the cheap and are therefore hard to track down. If I’m supplied with the info, I’ll definitely post it. Two, I feel like it’s not real, it’s a change from the original vision. I list the songs as they were supposed to be heard in the episode. This way, if you have the DVD, you can go out and find the original song so you get an idea of how the creators intended the scene to play out.
Know what I mean?
