Season 4 Episode 2 Airs Tonight!
By JD

Tonight’s episode, World’s Greatest Burger, will see the return of the high-profile guest star. This time we’ll see Regis Philbin (pictured) playing himself. Marshall and the gang run into him on their quest to find Marshall’s favorite burger in the city.
For the record, my favorite NYC burger is probably the one they serve at The Spotted Pig. Look at this beauty, what’s not to love?

What’s your all time favorite burger? What else will happen tonight? Are we excited to see Regis? Leave your comments here and check back tonight for the full recap.

Rare Bar & Grill has the best burger I’ve had in NYC.
Of course, I’m a Bostonian and have only had about a half-dozen burgers in NYC, but this place is very good.

Best Burger was the Movie House Diner in Orange, CA. It is not there anymore but it was the best.

I’m partial to my own concoction. It has probably 10 different spices inside, mayo, spicy bread and butter pickles, a tomato, horseradish, topped with melted provolone or Swiss cheese. Also good with sauteed mushrooms and onions on top.

I second the burger at the Spotted Pig.
As an aside, the fries served with that burger are the best I’ve ever had; very underrated.

My buddy makes burgers with cerrano (sp?) peppers. Extra spicy.
He prefers well done but the rest of us like em a little on the bloody side
best burgers are homemade

Hero burgers are pretty damn fabulous!
I just saw the commercial for this episode and I am SO excited! I think this is what i’ve been waiting for since the show got so involved and dramatic – a true return to all the gang getting together and being full fledged silly!

What else can be said about this episode except Legen-wait for it-dary!!!
This was a season one worthy episode. I loved everything about it. The one liners about the burger “I love this burger so much I want to sew my ass shut”…Marshall and his goofy adventures…the way Barney answered his phone…the return of Wendy the waitress…Lily beating on Barney…Robin eating random chips off the ground…….the list goes on!
Here’s a question. Will we ever see Carlos the bartender again? Where’s Ranjit? Too bad he didn’t show up to drive them around town looking for the burger joint.
Ok, so i’m stuck in the past…a little!

Now I want a burger….. damn.
I will say that the burgers at Corner Bistro are pretty tasty with a pint of beer.

Agreed. Great Summary. It was a classic – perfect HIMYM episode. I laughed at the underwear zone bit and then actually saw my neighbor getting her mail in full on PJ’s at the end of her driveway this am. Like all of the writing on HIMYM, its funny because its so true. And you have to know that Terence Trent D’Arby was the British soul singer who sang “wishing well” in the 80′s. Maybe I’m just old enough to remember.
