The How I Met Your Mother Blog

It’s been quiet here, but not in the How I Met Your Mother world. There’s been a flurry of guest-star news lately and it’s all looking awesome.

First, we all know Sarah Chalke is going to be back. I’ve heard a lot of different spoilers and hints and leaked details and I won’t go too far into detail but I’m led to believe there’s a good chance we might see some nuptuals this year.

Regis Philbin will gueststar as himself in an episode on Sept 29th. The plot of that episode features Marshall looking for the restaurant where he had his first New York burger. Mine was at Stand but my favorite in the city is The Spotted Pig. I think NPH and Reeg will play well off each other.

And now, in what might be the first HaveYouMetTed exclusive though I’m not a real journalist so who knows for sure, I have it on good authority from a source that wishes to remain anonymous that Wayne Brady will be back sometime this season. He hasn’t filmed the episode yet, and doesn’t even himself know what his role will be (he stresses how secretive Bays and Thomas are.) This information came from Brady himself in a recent interview. I’ve enjoyed Brady in his previous appearances so this is good news too.

So what do we think about the guestcasting so far? Seems like a step-up from last year’s Enrique and Mandy Moore. Who’s next, John Malkovich?
