You must feel old if you take offense to a joke made on a sitcom. Don't blame the show for your own insecurities. And don't comment on a blog where people are celebrating their love for something with negativity.

If they lost a viewer, I hope this response loses me a reader.

This is not one of my favorite programs. When there's nothing else worth watching, I'll occasionally put it on. In the "Slapsgiving" episode, they made fun of people in their early 40's as being elderly. I'm 41. I'm not old. I don't look old. I don't act old. They lost another viewer tonight. When I'm bored, I'll find something else to do besides watching "How I Met Your Mother." When "How I Met Your Mother" goes off the air permanently, I won't mourn its passing.

Need I remind you, tonight is CBS comedy night, all the good ones, back to back!!! Lilly on “How I Met

Your Mother” has totally stolen my heart!!!! If there is somebody cuter, it will require proof!!! Now and

then, she wears a “Killer Satin Dress”, from the previews, tonight might be number three. I have the first

two taped!!! I will be “standing by” with the finger on the button, in case I’m correct!!! When the series

comes to DVD, I will buy it just to see Lilly!!!! I never write fan letters, but this might be an exception!!!

I LOVE LILLY!!!!!! AND THAT’S FINAL!!!!!!

I sent a short letter to CBS but will be sending a longer one soon.

While I find BBT cleverly written – it doesn’t hold a candle to HIMYM! I completely agree with Katie….if I see one more “reality” show on tv on ANY network I am going to do something extreme. These shows have no social merit except to create mindless gossip about who’s doing what behind who’s back etc. Survivor seemed to be the only one with a good core idea – to see who could really “survive” in an extreme situation if they had to, but I think the top blew off that one long ago.

Maybe i’ll create a reality show about people who watch reality shows! In today’s demoralized society, I bet you it would sell!
