TedMosbyIsAJerk.com: Hidden Message Revealed
If you listen to the entire 10 minute song on Tedmosbyisajerk.com there is some backwards dialog at the end. What does it say forwards?
Wendy the waitress is the mother, Wendy the Waitress is the mother, Wendy the Waitress is the mother. Just kidding.
Check it out:
Update: The woman singing this song is Charlene Amoia aka Wendy the Waitress. That makes it even more awesome. If you’re like me and find this song oddly enjoyable, you can download it here.

Good joke
I don’t think Ted would marry a woman who has slept with Barney
Geri | April 1, 2008 @ 11:32 am
That really does sound like Cobie singing. But really – did the song HAVE to be 20 minutes long? I stopped listening around 10 minutes in because I detected a little brain matter leaking out of my ear.
john d'arc | April 1, 2008 @ 11:50 am
that’s a shame. I really want it to be Wendy.
This sorta kills any chance, and I know alot of folks who’ve been pulling for her since season one.
john d'arc | April 1, 2008 @ 11:51 am
it’s just, it’s weird that we know for a fact someone who is NOT the mother. I’ve heard theories all along that Lily might be the mother, or even Robin somehow,.
Shame.
Ranier | April 1, 2008 @ 12:22 pm
haha they’re messing with us! genious!
Look near minute 10
‘you took so much from me….you stole my umbrella. i know you took it. i had it, and now it’s gone, where is Ted? why dont you bring it back? wait, do’nt worry, i found it, it was under my bed. Mystery resolved’
jaja thenk she signs ‘i’m gonna kill you’ like she has problems, and she vomites xD this is so funny haha.
ky | April 1, 2008 @ 12:50 pm
lily as the mother? That’s pretty far fetched – I would interested to hear the specifics of that one.
And I second that Ted would not marry a woman that has experienced the Barnacle.
john d'arc | April 1, 2008 @ 4:14 pm
well, the theories all hinge on how literally you take “mother”. Surrogate mother? Adoptive mother? Birth mother?
It’s how I had Robin as the mother for the longest time. Still do, somehow.
john d'arc | April 1, 2008 @ 4:16 pm
I think it’d be funny if Barney was the homebodiest of them all in the future. Cause it’d be fitting, you know? We still have no idea what Barney is up to, even in the near future. Robin got to travel, Marshall and Lily are still married, however stilted and loveless it might be (srsly, that flash forward depressed me. They’re gonna be a bickering old couple!)
Mark B | April 2, 2008 @ 11:43 am

Do you think they are going to play semantic games with us? And if so, how well do you think the audience will take it?
Mark B | April 2, 2008 @ 11:44 am
OK, that didn’t work.
I was trying to lead by quoting the “Surrogate mother? Adoptive mother? Birth mother?” part.
john d'arc | April 2, 2008 @ 6:15 pm
it’s just, Craig and Carter have said on multiple occasions that they already have the ending in place or something, and all this leads up to that.
I just have this feeling that it means that it’s some sort of simple, forgone conclusion we all must have missed. Like having Robin on the show at all. She isn’t Ted’s lady friend anymore, so why keep her there. Ignoring that thing from the Yips, there’s still a mutual attraction between them.
I hate to say it, but she really is the most expendable of the cast. We have Ted, the single guy looking for serious love, Marshall and Lily, the couple, and Barney, the cad. Robin and Ted were the “new” couple for a bit, then it ended. As much as I love Robin, she has no real purpose other than to be Aunt Robin. Who apparently is close enough to be in the kids’ drawings.
Ranier | April 2, 2008 @ 9:40 pm
can you imagine the show without Robin?
i can’t.
she may have been Ted’s lady at first, but now she is part of them.
A Fan From Syria | April 3, 2008 @ 6:13 pm
I think the kids are adopted..and Robin will be the wife..and Ted is telling the kids how did he meet their real mother..
Nick from South Africa | April 21, 2008 @ 7:46 pm
Woah “fan from Syria” even though that sounds a little wierd, i think im starting to believe it.
Jojo | May 11, 2008 @ 3:32 am
The hangup I have with Lily or Robin being the mother is I swear future Ted has refered to them as Aunt Lily and Aunt Robin in several episodes. Kind of an odd way to refer to adopted/step/whatever mother.

st. patricks day episode
we see the mom with her yellow umbrella outside
ted bumps into woman inside bar and says exuse me

for serious fans, re-watch that episode. youll see!
A Fan From Syria | May 19, 2008 @ 6:23 pm
yeah i agree with u Eryn..I Noticed that too
and i think she is the bio mom..and Robin will be the wife..trust me
Peta | May 28, 2008 @ 12:07 am
robin and barney are going to end up together thats why she is still in the show… and therefore “Aunt Robin”. Stella and Ted will get married as she is the one that was at the club St Patricks day she says so in one of the episodes where she is removing teds tattoo.
A Fan From Syria | May 28, 2008 @ 9:08 am
well…at St Patricks day episode..we can see the mom..and absolutely she is NOT Stella..there is that girl which Ted collide with at 13:25..re-watch the episode and u’ll meet Mrs.Ted Mosby

I think it'd be great if Robin was the bio mom and Ted and Barney got together… think about it…jk
NOTmrsmosby | July 28, 2009 @ 7:38 am
I think it might be Trudy, from the Pinapple Incident episode. Think about it, his daugher looks just like her! And if it's not Trudy, I also thought it'd be that girl he bumped into at the St Patricks Day party, although that might be a red herring. Or it could be Wendy the Waitress. Even though I'm pretty sure it's not her, I still for some reason half wish it would be.
jack | August 21, 2009 @ 12:49 pm
no, that episode when the girls keep leaving barney and that lady tells them 2 not date him, thats the mom 4 sure
John | December 19, 2009 @ 4:13 am
Hey guys. I really laughed out loud when i read jack’s (all the way at the bottom) post. If you’re talking about the 3rd season, which im pretty sure you are, the ‘lady’ was played by britney spears. I highly doubt that she would come back, seeing as she was an exclusive 1 season theme.
The mother is a major mystery in the plotline, and is really only there to drive the seasons through and to keep us on our shoes everytime they throw us a red herring or Ted meets someone else. This is a perfect example of 1 such red herring.
Point is, no point guessing who she is, they have not given us enough evidence for an final conclusions, just enjoy it when they do finally reveal the girl, as i am pretty sure it’ll be the very last episode, and if you are guessing, have fun clutching at strings
