Well said. I too think it's very realistic for Ted to have the occasional ONS. He is living in NYC afterall, you're practically tripping over beautiful girls here. And I don't know what guy says "no thank you" to a beautiful girl all the time.

Well there is an arc this year... it's Robin/Barney. What's cool is going back to season 1 and seeing the sparks they had even then when Robin "suited up" for Barney while Ted was busy with Victoria. When Barney explained the reasons he and Robin should hook up, she paused and stated "Everything you said makes a lot of sense." I think they may planned this Barney/Robin arc from sometime early on for cues to be there the first season.

From where I'm sitting, I'm enjoying the Season 4 eps as much I enjoy the Season 1 eps I'm watching the rest of the week.

Back when I was looking for the "ONE" I often ended up with the "one right now," who more times than not was a college chick. It might be somewhat contradictory but it really is how a single guy of Ted's age thinks. You have the ideal and you have the right now. Lots to be said for both but you still work on finding the one.

Haha, I just resaw the episode. The clips where you the dumb five word sentences ... I can't wait to see Marshall NOT jumping that far! (Quote/Marshall: "I can jump that far!")

Alas, I have finally seen "Benefits" and "Three days of snow", and I have to admit, I loved boths episodes to bits. But, as this is the "Three days of snow" recap, I will concentrate in this episode.

And honestly, together with "Wooo" and "Benefits", this is one of the best episodes this season. I would ven go as far as saying, that it is one of the best episodes of the entire show. Yes, it was corny and I cried at the end but oh, how wonderful it was at the same time. The comedy, the twist in the end and of course Carl and Ranjit (especially Ranjit!). It was all perfect. I also like the fact, that Robin and Marshall don´t have this super smoothly friendship and that he is the one who tells her things the others never would dare to say (even if he apologizes in the end). But yeah, coming from "the cold country of Canada" Robin should have known about the snow plough. That´s the only thing that bugged me a little.

Apart from that: The episode was absolutely awsome!

I really hate it when people say "be honest." It just means that any response would read as defensive (lying) or as a lie. Think about it-- what would I have to gain by lying in the comments for a blog on a t.v. show?

"Love the ‘dibs’ after Star Wars reference (which, btw, no girl that young and in college would say) "

- I beg to differ. I'm 20, in college, and make Star Wars references often. I've made the Hoth reference so many times that now my friends who used to have no idea what Hoth is understand the reference.

I usually take these continuity glitches as future Ted's fault. Just like any person telling a really, reeeeeally long story, he will go back to tell some detail he forgot, i mean, this is the base that allow the stories to be told as in this episode, going back and forth. But with key events as the ones at the end of Benefits, it feels strange. But i'm sure sooner or latter, they will deal with that. Awesome idea? Having that story unfold in the "Goat" episode. Is anyone else as curious as i am about that particular event?

i just ran by the whole book and that particular rule is not in there. at least not in the main 150 articles. I'll have to check the exceptions, amendments and side notes though. There's really a lot of stuff in there. But still that would reffer to Ted not telling Robin about Barney's feelings, Ted can talk Barney about it, although i believe he'll give it some time.

And yes, this episode seems to be out of order. Little Minnesota was around Xmas time and this one seems to be just after New Years Eve or, as the guy that sell's Lilly the beer states, its still January. Benefits happens in "the winter of 2009" according to future Ted. I can't recall any other reference as to wich time it is.

If it's Marshall's car, why is Robin driving it? Why would they rent a car when they spend their time in taxis? All seems to indicate that its Robin's but from the gangs reaction when Ted bought his car i wouldn't expect any of them to have one. Maybe it is a lowner an John Darc said but again, why ask for a borrowed car when they use taxis all the time? Are the taxis stoped because of the snow? But wouldn't any snow storm big enough to stop taxis stop traffic entirely? God, this is like a Moebius strip...

Remember Zip, Zip, Zip - A bro doesn't tell a mutual bro that a third bro has a crush on him.

Also, you've got to assume there's an episode out of place here. It just seems like Benefits should have aired later.

It's simply a meal that two male friends have on a Sunday afternoon. Nothing wrong with that, just like it didn't get weird with Brad and Marshall until he invited him to the wedding/B and B and tried to get him flowers.

Thank you so much for appreciating it :) I think the same as you, specially the chain Robin -> Tattoo -> Stella.

They have broken the chain of scr... err... the pyramid... er... well, they broke the thing. Something had to happen after Stella that hadn't. So, miss link. Whoever is his next girlfriend (and I have read spoilers about it) it is not what it should have come next.

Actually, I think that Marshall is swirling his glass of wine because of what he was saying at that moment (that Lily and Marshall are now a mature couple) just like in S1 "Okay Awesome" Lily was describing wine testing as their way to become a mature married couple. And the fact that he drinks a glass of wine - when we usually see him drink a pint of beer - and overdo the swirling thing - reminds so much of Okay Awesome.
Btw I loved the way he jumped by the window at that time just like I adooore the "she totally hit on me" in this episode.

I haven't read the bro code but I live it day to day so I know a bro wouldn't pry into another bro's love for a friend, at least not right away. Ted knows, but if he brings it up it'll be later and not as directly as Lily.

Whats the weird way they keep saying the word "mature". Did Ted's pretensious way of saying certain words rub off on Lilly and Marshal? LOL

Barney's Bingo and his awkward explanation of how it works... the blank sideways stare he gives us at the end... ROFL... and the callback in the end... "Bingo!"
BTW, wouldn't Robin snap at Ted for having a party at the appartment and not asking her?

Robin and Marshall in the car was great. Marshall's robot was better but Robin's expression as she delivers her lines beats it. And the part with the snow-plow..." What the hell just happened?" indeed.

"Wait. Does this mean i have to bring a marching band with me everytime i...?"
"Yes, you duntz!!"
He's so screwed.
