However, I think that was a really good idea, and a healthy way to get out you "inner violent streak" because everyone has one, even the quiet non violent peeps!! The other teacher's class did not bring as many canned goods for the food drive, so I got to slap their teacher in front of two of his classes and two of mine. I'm not a violent person, and I usually keep my educating pretty, you know, educational, but performing an actual slap is something surreal. I didn't want to hurt my friend, but the lure of that powerful slap noise is really something else. The first slap was substantial, but testing the waters. The next three were surprising to all involved. I did not mean to slap him so hard, but that noise is intoxicating. Again, I am not a violent man, but the power of that sharp crack and the thrill of the red mark on the cheek - it really is something special. I thank HIMYM for opening my eyes to this power, and I will now make all my bets slap bets. The slapped teacher and I now have a slap bet on the toy drive that concludes the 14th. I am pretty much guaranteed to be slapped. My classes already told me that they have seen me slap him, now they want me to get slapped. Needy kids apparently will stay needy, unless I can find a way to remotivate my students. By the way, I am buying my wife a slap bet commissioner shirt for Christmas. I also want one of those Robin Sparkles tour shirts, but haven't tracked one down. Where's a G-CWOK Approved shirt, or a von Matterhorn shirt? What other shirts should be out there? I like the fact that we have seen more depth of person in Barney but we can't loose his awesomeness. The show has to get back to Ted's search for his future bride, this is the heart of the show Ted's Romantic side was balance to Barney. I have faith in this show. Anyway, at the risk of sounding like a freak, I want to tell you all something. :) Last year when my little sister came to visit me, we laughed and laughed and laughed at Intervention when Barney yells "I am filled with a white hot raaaage!" and lights the banner on fire. We quote it all the time. So this year for Christmas the whole fam's going to be together, and I got a magic trick that shoots out a fire ball. I'm going to pretend the present is in my parents' backyard, which will be covered in snow and have a fire extinguisher handy. If I don't die this Christmas will be LEGENDARY!
