Easy BLUE French Horn: Get a blue FUNNEL, and a long length of blue hose… stick the funnel in the end of the hose, and coil it all up til it looks like a french horn. use a few blue garbage twist-ties to hold it together in a coil. Voila

might be hard to get a full sized one, I think they're quite expensive. I've seen christmas tree ornaments that could work though – you could get one of those and spray paint it blue.

So Far, I've made invites with a tie on the front that says "Birthday Suit Up" on the cover. We made cd's for all the guests with the "Get Psyched" music mentioned above. And I've started planning the HIMYM themed menu, including "Robin's Canadian Bacon & Pineapple Pizza" "Barney's Cheesy Line Fondue" I'm trying to find a recipe for the 7 layer dip with mayo. Anyway, thanks for all the great ideas!

For the invite make a video slide show of pictures of you and your friends in sepia tone with the ken burns effect to "Hey Beautiful" just like the intro to the show.

1. Everyone must dress up like a character from the show (the main 5 or even a consistent supporting character like wendy the waitress or Ranjit) – Have a prize for the best costume and a prize for the best mimicker of their character (i.e. Best suite gets costume prize, the Ted that corrects everyone in their conversation the best gets a prize)

2. Print out scripts from multiple episodes and have everyone break into teams of the characters and act out scenes together.

3. If you're HIMYM freaks (like I've made a lot of my friends) go around in a circle and have everyone tell their favorite moment, scene or quote.

Thinking about this I think I'll need to throw a HIMYM party myself… I think I'd go as Carl the Bartender (I have the haircut for it and it'd be a great character being the host)

I don't think everyone should have to "suit up" just one random person. Could also come up with 50 other reasons people have sex. I'm assuming that CBS will make it once the show has wrapped but you could make a board game to go along with the show. Of course you will also need the DVD as well.
