I managed to get all of my friends to watch How I Met Your Mother, an astounding feat considering the fact that they can’t be quiet and listen for more than two minutes normally.

but it’s been wonderful, as i hope yours has been.

Hey! Glad you’re back! I hope you had a great holiday season. I just recently stumbled upon your website. I’m a huge fan of HIMYM, and when I found your blog I thought it was like the second best thing ever, the first being watching How I Met Your Mother of course. :) Anyway, this is my first time commenting, and I’m really excited to continue to follow your blog along with such an amazing show. I’ve already read all of your posts on the discussions on the episodes, so I’m all caught up. Keep up the great work!

P.S. I’m really excited for the 100th episode.

I just saw a still from Girls vs. Suits, and it looks like there is an epic musical number. Barney is on top of a cab, with people surrounding it in ‘epic musical’ poses. I am GIDDY with hope and excitement!!

This holiday was all about HIMYM and Arrested Development marathons with my sisters. De-wait for it-lightful! Delightful.

I watched ALOT of How I Met Your Mother.
Also tomorrow I am going to a 100th episode event at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills. The whole cast will be there and I am so excited.

I got super sick to the max and decided to do an epic rewatch of Six Feet Under. I’ve had better ideas. That’s one of my favorite shows ever, but DAMN did I spend my bedridden time completely depressed and pensive.

Other than that, I got a new iPod. Yay new iPod!

    No post about Carrie???

Too bad she won’t be the mother, she’s perfect.

Psyched for the return, but I’ve been trying to find info about something I noticed on the fourth season DVD. The commentary track on “I Heart New Jersey” is supposedly done by two extras who were in the PriceCo scene, and they discover their scene has been cut towards the end of the episode. I can identify Jason Segel as one of the extras, using a different voice (but with his mannerisms), but the other I am not 100% about. I think it’s NPH, but I’m not sure. Has anyone else succumbed to this level of fandom? If you have the DVD, check it out – it’s pretty hilarious. (I also like the commentaries where Jason Segel sexually harasses the writer in previous seasons.)

In fact, one of the supposed extras, David Ellis Duncan, mentions his website that he has for his dog photography service. It’s DEDdogphotgraphy.com, which read phonetically reminds me of one of Lily’s dad’s board games. I recognize the picture of the guy from the garbage bag website from Season 3, but who’s the voice on the commentary track? The site is pretty ridiculous, of course. The beautiful websites this show has spawned… so nice.
