Did anybody else love the Alexis Denisof’s repeat appearances as Sandy…Rivers? Especially in “Mary the Paralegal” (1×19). What an awesome on-screen reunion.

I suppose Aly and him would see each other rather often outside of film, though, as they are married.

While I am greatly appreciative of this new review (about time) these thanks actually go out to mystery man “Roger” for his Buffy reference! Actually, if you check on iMDB (as I did after the first Clint episode – “How Lily Stole Christmas” [2x11]) you will find that Harry Groener (best name ever) actually does play both Clint and Mayor Richard Wilkins III.

Alright, everyone needs to accept that maybe Barney learned how to drive! Yes, there was the flashback in ‘Arrivaderci Fiero’ where Ted was teaching him how to drive and Barney was terrified…but Barney drove his own car (we assume) in ‘As Fast As She Can’ and referenced driving Virginia to the airport in ‘The Goat’. It appears that he drove Virginia to the airport after ‘Brunch’, since they are discussing the brooch story.

Can we not just accept that the writers used their creative license to have Barney learn to drive at some point? It didn’t say in ‘Arrivaderci Fiero’ that he still didn’t drive, just that he hated the car. Even if he didn’t drive then, that gave the character several months to go out in the fake world of HIMYM and learn to drive.

Deal with it.

I re-watched the episode last night with my wife (who missed it the first time) and thought it was good. However there were a few inconsistencies for me.
The first was Barney driving Virginia to the airport. they all know that he can’t drive and should have known the story was fake from the get go.
The second issue, is ted having a car. He sold his car and gave the money to Marshall to fix the floors.

aside from those inconsistencies i enjoyed the episode, and look forward to the rest of the season.
