I Need Your Help!
As you’ve noticed, I’ve been missing in action lately on the blog. I’ve barely been able to catch the new episodes let alone write about them. I’ve started a new job and the transition has reduced my spare time.
That doesn’t mean you all should suffer. So I had an idea: the real meat of this site is you guys and your discussion, so why don’t you take over the recaps? Here’s how it’ll work:
- If you’re interested, send me an email (jd@have-you-met-ted.com) with your recap.
- You can follow my normal format: Opening paragraph, What Was Good, What Was Bad, Favorite Moments, Closing or you can just send in something free-form. Obviously I’d prefer it in the regular format but I understand if you want to just send in your thoughts.
- The best emails I get I’ll post on the show’s discussion page with credit to the author and links back to their site, etc.
It’s the best I can offer for now. Hopefully I’ll be back to normal before the finale.
I look forward to your emails!

Awesome idea! I think I’ll start recaping next episode
Once again, JD cares about us.

Also… Congrats on the new job!
And only one question: anyone commenting here from Australia?
Brody | April 21, 2010 @ 6:15 pm
i WISH i was Australian
High Hoper | April 21, 2010 @ 6:38 pm
It’s because i’m planning to stay there next year. But, I don’t want to get attention on that, main focus is this new user-recap
Brody | April 21, 2010 @ 6:42 pm
might try my hand at it for the next new episode. I’ll definitely be unbiased and completely open about it.

Great idea! Thanks for letting us continue the site in your absence instead of letting it languish like so many before it. Hope you’re back for the finale and congrats on the job!

I love the idea. BTW I just watched a movie that came out on Tuesday called “Slammin’ Salmon”. It is a Broken Lizards movie (beer fest, super troopers) and Cobie Smulders plays one of the main characters in the movie. It is stupid humor, but definitely entertaining, and a good watch if you want to laugh and are bored.

i think none of you want to read my bitching about the episode as a full-blown post
i’m only tolerable if i can be skipped over while reading the comments, haha
katie90 | April 24, 2010 @ 4:52 am
although..we could try a new format and have two people (one who loved the episode and one who hated it – cause these days every ep seems to split people in camps) review it, JD-style (what was good, what was bad, ..). would be a good basis for discussion, i think.

JD,
I think this is a really good idea. You have always said that this site really only exists because we respond to your posts and analyze the episodes.
Although I really do enjoy reading your thoughts here, as i agree with you nearly all the time, it will be good to “breathe some new life” into the discussions
