Record time! I actually finished the recap 10 minutes ago but the Internet was down.

I think if I had to summarize season 6 of HIMYM it’s that they’re all grown up. From the big issues like Marshall’s dad passing away and LAME trying to have a baby to the general themes of the characters’ lives, everything is more mature and weighty. Tonight hit those moments for each character.

So guys, good news. I have a TV now that gets CBS so I can actually watch the episode live as it airs. That still requires that I’m home and in front of said TV but it’s more likely that I can get recaps done quicker. It also means I see commercials since I don’t have a DVR. I saw about 24314 spots for tonight’s episode at the Grammys last night (as well as NPH and Jason Segel being awesome) and it looks like a good one. I always like holiday episodes of HIMYM and I don’t think we’ve had a Valentine’s Day one, have we?

What’s up baby dolls? I rally. I’ve slain the pineapple, mastered my own outlaw Ted “no tomorrow” period and luckily have not been left at the alter. Tonight’s episode has Katy Perry as a guest star who, as far as female humans go, is in the top tier of smootchability. Can she act? Let’s find out!
