Sarah Chalke
Ausiello seems to think that Sarah Chalke is returning for several episodes next season. I’d like to see it. She’s pretty!
Stay tuned. It’s been quiet a bit but I’ll be posting all the missing Season vs. Seasons leading up to the fall premieire. It’s going to be legendary!

Season 3 Episode 20: Miracles (Finale) Discussion
Do miracles exist? Us fans got a forth season and Ted and Barney both got a new lease on life so it seems like they might. Tonight saw many cliffhangers, many flashbacks, and, in my opinion, many mistakes. One thing is for sure: I’m already anticipating this fall. Season three is over, what do we think? Spoilers follow so only continue if you’ve seen the finale. Continue reading…

Season 3 Episode 19: Everything Must Go Discussion

Ted pulled on his red boots, Barney pulled off his suit, and Britney pulled out the cleavage. All this while Lily tried desperately to sell her art in order to preserve her wardrobe in the hopes that maybe not everything must go. Photos to come tomorrow. Continue reading…

Season 3 Episode 18: Rebound Bro Discussion

Ted and Barney are yesterdays news. Barney’s on the rebound, Lily still loves sex, and Ted and Stella (who we finally see again) take it to the next level. All this and more tonight in Rebound Bro. Continue reading…

Rebound Bro Airs Tonight
First, thank you to all the people who said such lovely things about the site in the comments last week, I appreciate all of it. You guys are the best readers.
Now, onto business. Tonight’s episode is “Rebound Bro” and it looks like a good one:
- When Ted tells the gang Stella’s intimate secret, he must face the consequences of breaking her trust.
- Guest Cast:
Stella: Sarah Chalke
Randy: Will Forte (Barney’s new wingman)
Pete: Blair Hickey
Stapleton: Dean West
Crazy Willie: Bill Parks
Haley: Floriana Lima
Kate: Rome Shadanloo
Sadie: Sonia Rockwell
Lucy: Darcy Rose Byrnes (that’d be this young lady not this super-hot woman. I was disappointed although I bet Darcy makes a better eight-year-old daughter.) - Barney goes on a quest to find his next bro. It will be a challenging task as most of Barney’s old friends are now married and have children or already have a bro. He eventually teams up with nerdy Randy who delivers the mail in Barney’s office and actually offered to be Barney’s new wingman. Barney has a lot of work to do to make Randy bro material.

Season 3 Episode 17: The Goat Discussion

So that’s what happened with the goat. Sort of. We did see the fallout from the BRo hook up last week. In fact, we picked up right where we left off. An odd episode with an emotional moment, a guest star, and a brand new mystery, The Goat had it all. Continue reading…

Season 3 Episode 16: Sandcastles in the Sand Discussion

Wow. So Robin is a sensitive girl after all. Who knew? Certainly not Simon. After Robin played second fiddle for the majority of this season we get to see an episode dedicated to her and her pop-star past. And we’re one step closer to the “major life changing event”, at least for Barney. If you haven’t seen the episode, there be spoilers ahead. You’ve been warned. Continue reading…

Season 3 Episode 15: The Chain of Screaming Discussion

Tonight we were caught up on what LAME have been up to (that’s Lily Aldrin and Marshall Erikson for new readers.) Turns out Marshall hates his job and Lily is randier than a band geek on prom night. Ted has a girlfriend and a new car, Barney faces his demons, and Robin eats a Canadian sized ice cream cone. All that and more in “The Chain of Screaming”. Continue reading…

Upcoming: The Chain of Screaming

Monday’s episode “The Chain of Screaming” formerly known as “The Simmons Report” centers around Marshall and, much like “I’m Not that Guy”, we get a cool guest star:
Marshall gets shouted down by his boss, “Artillery Arthur” (guest star Bob Odenkirk) - or, as Segel put it, “The wheel of abuse finally lands on Marshall.” The traumatic moment leads to the end of Marshall’s brief career as a high-paid corporate lawyer and sets him back on course to become a do-gooding environmental lawyer.
Segel, whose movie “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” opens April 18, said he’s happy to see his character on track again.
“Marshall has such a pure heart, so I like to see him achieve his goals,” he said. “I’m happy he ends up turning his back on the corporate world. I’m very proud of him.
“And I’m glad we get to see me at work. You get to see Marshall in ’schlubby husband’ mode most of the time. It’s nice to see me in a suit. I’m finally suiting up.”
The entire list of guest stars for the episode:
Ferguson - Jordan Black
Arthur - Bob Odenkirk
Bilson - Bryan Callen
Blauman - Taran Killam
Waiter - Avner Garbi
How will L.A.M.E. be able to afford their new place if Marshall doesn’t have the high paying job? It’ll be interesting to see what Bays and Thomas do with this development.
In that same article we got some cryptic hints at what the future has in store as we move toward the finale which, I hear, will end with a cliff hanger that has “real emotional weight” for the characters:
The overarching story will be that Ted, whose romantic relationship with Robin ended at the end of last season, comes out of his tailspin. In the process, he begins to question why he hangs around with a lothario like Barney.
“Ted had been turning into Barney, so we’re putting him back on track as the nice guy we all fell in love with in the first place,” Bays said. “The second half of the season will move him a little closer to what Marshall and Lily have, but as a result, it will make him question having a Barney in his life. Some big events will put that in motion.”
Lothario is a great word. I wish I had more opportunities to use it. What do we think? Will “The Chain of Screaming” be as good as similar episodes about Marshall’s job such as “Life Among the Gorillas” or “I’m Not That Guy”? What type of event is coming up? The hints given so far have felt pretty ominous.
