Product Placement, From the Future!
By JD

Consumerist reports that in a rerun of a 2007 episode of HIMYM you see the poster above for Zookeeper (a 2011 movie). Does Robin receive screeners far in advance? Is this another easter egg? No, in the original airing there was nothing behind her:

Pretty sneaky. Keep your eyes peeled for other examples of this. If they ever rerun OK, Awesome! I wonder if the posters outside the club will be for Justin Bieber.
Guest Post: Examining the Act Break
By JD
Hey guys, Steve had a comment that intrigued me greatly. He talked about this week’s episode, Natural History, being an “act break” for the show. It was one of those forehead-slapping moments and I knew Steve was onto something. I asked him to elaborate thinking he could help me organize my thoughts around it but he was nice enough to do a write up himself. And a damn good one if I do say so, I might be out of a job if Steve decides to take it full time. I was smiling more than when Ted said “Hersey Squirts” by the end of this.
PS. I just posted a piece on AMLAW that I think you guys will like. I’m not being over-promotional, this isn’t some recap of a TV show. It’s a pretty personal story from my life that centers around a certain song. If you like the sentimental stuff or identify with SOT, check it out and tell me what you think.
Now, onto Steve’s genius!
JD asked me to elaborate on the post I made in response to How I Met Your Mother’s “Natural History” episode (season 6, episode 8), specifically on my comments regarding the episode as an “act break” in the overall arc of the show.
Season 6, Episode 6: Baby Talk Discussion
By JD
Here I am, on time with a recap. It’s a miracle.
People really do get this crazy about naming their kids. Having never had a kid I can’t exactly say I understand. It seems to be a thing though, especially regarding keeping the name secret lest one of your friends ruins it with some story of a stripper who does kegels for eight hours a day.
I know I was worried this episode would be filler but I ended up liking it quite a bit. I thought the jokes were good, it moved right along, and we got some higher quality LAME time.
Season 5, Episode 24: Doppelgangers Preview

Chat here, I’ll be back. Hopefully I’ll like it and I won’t bum you guys out this week. Season Finale people!
Season 5, Episode 23: The Wedding Bride Discussion
By JD
This episode has a lot of build up. It was hinted we’d see something like this as far back as the end of last season. Did all that build-up payoff? Did the Wedding Bride deliver?
