While I love HIMYM and endorse voting for them, I’d like to also make a plea to vote for Castle which is a show I love and could use the promotion more than HIMYM, in my opinion. Your choices are:

I haven’t been following much of the casting news for the show this season. HIMYM has always been heavy on the guest stars (for better or worse) so it’s hard to keep track. I got this link in my inbox however and I admit it got me excited.

Jennifer Morrison, of House M.D. fame will be joining the cast in a recurring role that looks like it could become much more permanent. Is she the mother? It’s not worth debating, there’s just no way to know and that’s what everyone else is talking about anyway so let’s discuss something else: what do we think of her? I absolutely loved her on House and think she’s a great fit for HIMYM. She has an innocent sweetness and a brainy charm that I think will have good chemistry with Ted. Plus she’s smoking hot. I approve.

According to TV Guide, Morrison plays nerdy architect Zoey Van Smoot who has a meet cute with Ted in the streets of Manhattan. They initially battle over conflicting views on an architecture project on which they are both involved but, meeting her again at a fancy Gala event, Ted realizes there might be more to Van Smoot than meets the eye. The creators are hinting at other yet-unknown developments with her character (read: haven’t written it yet) and it sounds like she could become a regular character.
